A new marijuana motivated music video was released last week from MC Flow. It was filmed at a local San Diego dispensary showcasing the convenience and enjoyment of the legal cannabis market. Times have changed from raps about dealing drugs on the streets to moms rhyming the recap of their shopping day.
Hip-hop artist Abby Dorsey, or MC Flow, released her new single and music video called “Welcome to the Dispensary,” on Jan. 16. It follows Flow as she shops inside an upscale-looking dispensary with a security guard, budtenders and customers are seen along with many cannabis products on shelves.
The actual shop that is highlighted in the video is Urbn Leaf Dispensary on San Diego’s Buenos Avenue.
“We really wanted to give a glimpse into what dispensaries can and will be as legalization grows,” Flow writes on her official website.
“Welcome to the Dispensary” is actually not Flow’s first cannabis-theme song. In 2015, she released “Pot in the Latkes,” talking about spicing up latke, known as traditional Hanukkah pancakes, with marijuana.
Flow is a pro-marijuana writer-rapper that has used medical marijuana since 2009.
