Robot for hire? The media sensationalizing robots as planet’s destroyers while reproducing itself to populate the Earth might be a bit far-fetched after all.
Today, many robots are made to benefit agricultural technology, like robots that spray weed or lettuce by methods of machine learning and spraying them with herbicides. There are also apple picking robots too.
In the future, there might be cherry-tree shaking robots. According to Wire, researchers at Washington State University are developing algorithms that could select the best cherry tree branch to shake, so only flawless red cherries are picked for consumption. It hasn’t been developed yet, but they are envisioning them with six hands shaking up a red cherry tree.
